As you can see loads of updates since my last post...

Well maybe not but there is alot going on as always. Latest projects i cant actually release to my own portfolio due to them being contracted work, all i can say is look for them to be launched soon for a very local to Northwich 'creative' agency. Other than that am working towards completing a portfolio site for an up and coming fetish model, possibly a design your own number plate site in the works and maybe even a couple more projects which i may be able to update you on at some point soon.

If you are wondering if im too busy to take up any extra work, although you may think your particular project is just too good of an opportunity that i just wouldnt want to miss it - well get in touch and lets find out.

Wedding Belles Ringing

As promised some details on the latest release from the Northwich based DaveyB Studio - Weddingbellescheshire.co.uk. Quite a small yet still stylish and striking site for the bridal store based in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

The site features collections from Charlotte Balbier, Romantica and Veromia as well as Bridal Accessories from Amanda Wyatt and Bridal shoes from the likes of Benjamin Adams, Belle & Pink.

As always busy busy so keep checking back for updates on my next project. Till then 'Adjö' (Goodbye in Swedish).

Free PC Help

Unluckily no i dont provide it as such - Free Pc Help is a a forum based site created, maintained and updated by a good friend and colleague Mike Stephens.

With the site being over 4 yrs old and now witha sizeable user base, Mike felt it was time for a redesign of the current site in order to keep up with the current trends of the modern day web. Main focus on this was usability, look and feel in terms of being more modren and also SEO purposes - as well as new features to be added such as more prominent Adwords intergration and a remote service for home PC Users.

The concept was completed late October and Mike has been hard at work ever since skinning and re-jigging areas of the site. With myself not responsible for the code only the design concept (and being well aware of the current constraints Mike has on his time) i wanted to take chance to give you a preview of the re-design - you can find the full concept here and the for all you users out there with techincal and Pc issues the current FreePcHelp site can be found here.

Wedding Belles?

Dont panic, i'm not about to make some huge announcement regarding my lovely lady.. I just wanted to take a second to give you an sneak peak of few projects up and coming. The next release most likely from my little studio is more than likely Wedding Belles Of Holmes Chapel.

A good referal from a certain Ms Blackburn (see starstalker posts) and on the back of the success achieved with Crafty Favours i was approached to take a brief for the design and development for the small but very stylish Bridal Store mentioned above. The concept was soon design with the benefit of some fantastic imagery - upon approval the site has now been in development for around 2 weeks and is expected to be completed very shortly so check back soon for future updates.

Nissimo, Simplicty By Design

Having worked with Northwich & Cheshire based Nissimo on a number of medium to large scale projects, i was delighted to take up the chance to re-design and code the 'slightly aged' Nissimo website.

Having over 20years experience in the development industry and over the last 8 years more prominently the web development industry all the team at Nissimo are highly skilled and experienced in the web - which made the whole project even more of a pleasure to complete.

The sites development timescale was roughly just over 2 weeks with updates to continue over the next month to allow the site to harness its full potential with google - the owner of the company another Northwich resident (and a good friend) Tony Williams was delighted with the end product and hopefully learnt a little along the way.

We shall be marketing the site over the next few months to obtain exposure for the new improved business image - but personally i can assure you if you are looking for any kind of development work be it online or offline. Handcrafted Wedding Favours

Having been approached late October of 2007 to produce a site for the new formed company it was with great pleasure i accepted the project and dissapeared in my dark cave only to appear weeks later with a near finnished article (ready for the clients final look through).

With everyone delighted with the end project the next step was to make the site more visible and tailor what was neccesary to get the site good rankings with the all important SERPS (Search Engine Result Pages). So a detailed link building excersise was undertaken alongside a targetted submission plan as well as key details on the site being re-arragned and tweaked for that all important optimum visibilty.

The site is now over 3 months old and boasts and impressive visitor record of 2000+ unique visitors as well as good placements on google for the majority of the product range (the fact i cant seem to get the site listed anywhere near the top for the key phrase of wedding favours is firstly a mystery! but secondly not as important as the client suspected as a search for wedding buckets, wedding boxes etc brings up a 1st page result if not a 1st place result on the mammoth business machine that is Google).

Presenting StarStalker!

Its Live!. A little longer development time than expected but we got there in the end!. A stylish 'news' site featuring the latest points of view on the celebrity world from the star stalker herself.

Featuring a full CMS system and some lovely finnishing touches, i can say i am delighted with the end product and now that it is reaping in the rewards financial and otherwise for the little lady (a whole 18 Cents via Adsense so far! woo, woo) i just wanted to take a moment to say what an enjoyable experience the project has been.

Tolerance & Deep Breathing..

I was sat pondering last night, as you do - the usual kind of thoughts, is there anyway i can recode the MWIS stores to be more portable?, was Edwin Van De Sar really at fault for the own goal and well Good Karma and the Golden Mean - Fact or Fiction?...

Pondering all of this led to me thinking about tolerance in terms of people, substances and situations inline with a quote i have always liked as i think it defines true human spirit.

You maybe wondering what the link is considering i have always seen myself as someone quite responsive to change (quite an exhaustive life story already) well i had a purge over the weekend. Spring clean if you like out with the old and in with the new, sort of. Reason for the purge?, well there were a few things playing on my mind and well i couldnt 'tolerate' them no longer. Which made me wonder, how can i in future tolerate/handle matters better?.

Well tolerance in terms of a substance can be likened to alchol, the more you drink the more you can drink - hence you heighten your tolerance. If you drink less you tolerance decreases obviously leading to staggering home at 8pm in the evening.

So relating this to a person/situation, does throwing yourself into the situation and trying to sink not swim or battle your way through heighten your tolerance to the whole situation, not really it just gets more complicated and on the other side of the spectrum does bailing out completely lessen your tolerance - im not sure but the problem there is the next time you have to deal with said situation your still not going to be able to cope/be tolerant of the whole matter.

Did i find an answer, not really but to be more tolerant in future i decided the best course of action is always - deep breath and count to 5, as adding a little more tolerance to the matter could go along way in the future.

I had dabbled with Netvibes at some point previous and as always the time factor came in to play, could i afford the time spent setting it all up?. It does have the fiddle factor and takes a few attempts to configure but as for being organised and having access to everything in one place (4 email accounts, 3 to do lists, 5 post sticks calendar, address book.....). If you are surgically attached to a PC via work or pleasure try it, if only so you can check up on the daily Garfield cartoon strip. - http://www.netvibes.com/

Digg
I love Digg, its so great. Where else can you be presented with the best of the web in such a relevant and concise manner. Sure there is the BBC news site/feed bringing you the latest from tehe world but not whats hot now, this minute. Plus for myself every day there is at least one post with a useful CSS tip/advice or some Ajax/Jscript that needs to be bookmarked for future dismantling. All else said i have to confess my favourite of the last 2 days.. "Top 20 Hottest Superbabes of the NES era". Enough said, Digg It - http://www.digg.com/

Last.FM
With Last.FM i do tend to find it falls under the 'no real purpose' category of the 2.0 sites. Last.FM's purpose is to drive/push music to the masses in a the 'tag' based format featured on digg, delicous etc. Sounds great but other than nosying at my weekly chart (powered by audioscrobbler) out of curiosity theres not much more i actually use the site for. So why does it make my list?, well the design is awesome - slick, clean, professional and has the CSS colour switcher which i just cant resist the urge to fiddle with. And the companies attitude is definetly something that appeals to a user and the one thing that really grabbed my attention, just check the footer that features a new audioscrobbler inspired witisism each day, pure genius. - www.last.fm

Blogger gets in my little list for its interface design and simplicity (well it is now Google owned). I am really curious to see what happens over the next few months in terms of the development of the site (note: author now logging in via a google account) but as i said its Google owned so it cant be a bad thing hey?. I had investigated the main contender, WordPress when considering the platform for this site and I never could find the time to spend 2/3 hours configuring the various sections of the config's etc, when a simple copy/paste to dreamweaver, a little magic and a pinch of salt... and well your reading it now arent you?. - http://www.blogger.com/

Starstalker Celebrity News

Apparently they are ... so with that let me introduce Ms Blackburn, the self-confessed Celeb Stalker of the media world. A young, enthusiastic journalist, (who just happens to be 3ft high and as sweet as Paddington Bear having fallen over and scratched his knee), approached myself to design and build a blog/social media site revolving around the latest news concerning the much maligned celebs of the world. I was delighted to accept the challenge.

With the site nearing the end of production, expect to be hearing a lot more from this little lady.

Onsetcold, World Wide Album

Daily providing top-notch security via two rather large dogs, a parrot and various species of lizards and snakes Onsetcold front man Shaq also known as well 'Shaq' finds the time to occasionally mow the lawns surrounding my little outback hideout i refer to as home. But did you know he will also be releasing a world wide album shortly?.

After a busy year of gigs and tours following the creation of Onsetcold.com (Version.1) the self proclaimed bringers of the cold have hit the underground mainstream (makes perfect sense when you think about it) and are following up with a debut album and a new site being created once again by yours truly. Diamond Live & The Diamond Girls

Four talented, gorgeous young girls came to the fore performing with 'Purple Patch Productions' at the Globe Theatre, Blackpool and in further concerts through out north-west venues.

The Diamond Ladies boasting the instantly recognisable Carly Stenson (And i am not even a Hollyoaks fan) approached myself in the summmer of 2006 to produde a small yet stylish web presence to help them promote themselves.

The site is now almost a year old and boasts an impressive track record of visitors and guestbook comments, overall a thoroughly enjoyable project from start to finnish.

Westway Relaunch
